Getting started with Checkout Rules
Checkout Rules lets you hide, rename, and reorder payment methods and shipping options at checkout, based on conditions like cart total, address, and customer tags. Rules run inside Shopify Functions on Shopify's own infrastructure, so they add no scripts and no delay to your checkout.
1. Create your first rule
Open the app and click Template gallery. Pick a template close to what you need, for example Hide COD for large orders. The rule editor opens pre-filled; adjust the amount or method name to fit your store, then click Save rule.
2. Test it
Open Rule tester from the app navigation. Enter a mock cart (total, country, address, tags) and watch which rules fire and what checkout will show. The tester runs the exact same rule engine that runs at checkout, so what fires here fires there.
3. Check it at checkout
Add products to a cart on your storefront and open checkout. Rules apply instantly whenever their conditions match. Each rule can be turned on or off from the app home page at any time.
Plans
The free plan includes 2 active rules with every condition type and the rule tester. Pro removes the limit: unlimited rules across payments and delivery, with a 7-day free trial and then $8.99 per month until you cancel.
