Hide Express shipping for heavy carts

Express carriers have weight limits. When a buyer's cart is over them, offering Express at checkout guarantees a refund conversation later. This rule hides express options once the cart weight passes a limit you set.

Set it up

1. Open Template gallery → Hide Express for heavy carts → Use template.
2. The rule hides shipping options whose name contains express when cart weight is greater than 20,000 grams (20 kg). Adjust the weight to your carrier's limit.
3. Click Save rule.

Verify

In the Rule tester, set the mock weight above your limit and check the "Shipping options will show" panel. Product weights come from your product settings, so make sure your heavy products have accurate weights.

Notes

• Weights are in grams; 1 kg = 1,000 g.
• The same pattern works for any option: hide local pickup outside your region with a state/province condition, or hide a rate by destination country.
